Parkland RHA:

The Parkland Regional Health Authority is situated in West Central Manitoba. Approximately 25,000 km2, it is bounded in the west by the Saskatchewan border, on the north by the 53rd parallel, on the South by Riding Mountain National Park and on the East by Lake Manitoba and Lake Winnipegosis. The region is comprised of 15 rural municipalities, 8 village councils, 4 town councils, 7 First Nation tribal councils and 16 northern affairs community councils. About 14% of Parkland's population is aboriginal as compared to 7% of the provincial population. About 20% of its population is of Ukrainian descent as compared to 7% provincially.

The Parkland Regional Health Authority provides a spectrum of health programs and services including community health services (public health, home care, community mental health, therapy services), acute hospital services, emergency medical services, diagnostic services, long-term care, medical services and corporate services. These services are intended to improve the health status of communities and optimize the health of individuals and families.
