Manitobans have access to a full range of specialist’s services.
With the province’s close proximity to Northern Ontario, parts of Northwest Territories and Nunavut, specialists may also provide services to clients from these remote areas.
If your training was completed outside of Canada requirements for registration varies from province to province. For more information please click here.
Specialist Relocates from United Kingdom
Dr. Conor Mulholland is a Pediatric Ophthalmologist who recently relocated to Manitoba in November 2014. Dr. Mulholland received his medical training in Ireland along with a fellowship in British Columbia. Before relocating to Manitoba and the Children’s Hospital in Winnipeg, Dr. Mulholland practiced in Wales, United Kingdom.
Dr. Mulholland spends his time in the Pediatric Ophthalmology Clinic at the Children’s Hospital in Winnipeg along with two other Ophthalmologists, Dr. E. Paul Shuckett and Dr. Ian Clark. Since joining the clinic, the pediatric ophthalmology wait-list has been lowered significantly and continues to drop with the three specialists serving the pediatric community.
Dr. Mulholland explains since he’s arrived to Manitoba he’s been given all the resources, clinic space and professional independence to effectively set up his clinic environment to see and treat his patients.
"Everyone has been so welcoming and supportive here both personally and professionally. The WRHA was extremely helpful in the relocation process to Manitoba.”
Dr. Mulholland was pleasantly surprised on how much there is to do in Winnipeg and has enjoyed meeting many new people and new friends! Welcome Dr. Mulholland!
